Enodah Wilderness Travel and Web Space Station® team up to enhance Enodah corporate Web site (www.enodah.com)
ClientEnodah Wilderness Travel Ltd. is Canada-based travel company specialized in Trophy Pike fishing, waterfowl and winter adventures on Great Slave Lake. ChallengeEnodah Wilderness Travel had an immediate need to redesign their existing site and to enhance it with a new functionality. Although their old design was up-to-date and acceptable, the existing functionality didn't allow customers to book travel online. Enodah management was understandably worried about the loss of potential clients. Another challenge was to keep clients visiting the Web site frequently and inform them about travel specials. The company had a lot of clients from Sweden, and it was important to reflect this geographic concentration of the customers in the promotional materials. After reviewing the qualifications and experience of several potential vendors, Web Space Station® was selected to develop the project. The company had extensive experience with design and Web technologies, solid portfolio of similar projects, and the most sound proposal to accommodate the needs of Enodah. SolutionA new design with a user-friendly layout and comprehensive graphics was created. In order to make the site unique and more exciting for visitors, Web Space Station® designed animated tracking symbols with duck, lynx, and trophy pike to each section. The color palette was created based on Swedish flag to make the colors more appealing for Swedish customers. The site was enhanced with "Special of the Month" section to inform visitors about latest news and specials. The information in this section is updated dynamically from the database, and this feature made the maintenance of the site easy and not dependent on additional costly programming. The most important enhancement was an online booking form. It enabled visitors to place orders online and helped Enodah to receive completed reservation forms instead of the stream of customer requests. ResultsThe number of customers rapidly increased due to the new design and enhanced functionality. Closing sales and servicing customers became significantly easier. Automation of the booking process allowed company's staff to handle the larger amount of transactions at a much lower cost. The time spent on sending quotations back and forth, as well as on dead-end leads was dramatically reduced. Section with the Special Offers encouraged the potential customers to revisit the site often. The customers appreciated the convenience and improved customer service.
